The Chair welcomed everyone and opened the meeting.
Police Report
There was no police report received this month.
Craigend Planning appeal
Members of the community council attended the site visit along with other Upper Braes Community Council and local resident regarding the planning appeal for Craigend site. The reporter will await Falkirk Council’s decision at the end of January before final report which should be March/April time.
Persimmon Planning
There is a pre-planning application for Permission. A consultation event will be held in February for this. Details will be posted on the CC social media.
Froglife
A group will be doing work in the Valley Park creating ponds to encourage frogs and newts. They’re holding a habitat management workshop on Thursday 16th January at the Braes Golf Center. Anyone interested can find details on the CC social media.
Christmas Carol Concert
The carol concert was a great success with musical performances from local children and a service taken by Mr. Campbell from the Evangelical Church and Mr. Cook from Maddiston Salvation Army.
Funding for community groups
Funding approved for a football table for the Senior Youth Club that can be used by other groups in the Community Centre.

- National Library has published digital maps which allows maps of different years to be overlaid.
- Accounts were handed to the accountant for review.
- Youth disorder concerns raised. These need to be reported at the time to the police so that they show in the police stats.
- The old Bus stop roof on the Main Street is still broken and in a bad state. This has been raised with FC previously but no action taken.
